An incredible international love story began on the magical island of Singapore, Andrea had just recently moved to Singapore, while Seb was entering his ninth year in the region. They received a birthday invitation to celebrate their dear friend on a boat, little knowing that this event would change their destinies forever.
Andrea, fresh off the boat in Singapore, was feeling a bit under the weather—not seasick, but homesick. Seb was also feeling unwell from his last adventure in Bali, questioning whether attending a boat party while on antibiotics was a good idea. Fast forward five hours, and our duo were at the bow of the boat, contemplating Andrea’s favorite moment of the day — a mesmerizing sunset. They talked through plans of exploring the land of Uncle Sam, crossing the central states on a road trip, and building up their future playlist. From this moment on, they both knew there was something special in each other.
From the final of the World Cup to climbing Mount Kota Kinabalu, their story continued. Andrea was asked to extend her Asia tour to Hong Kong, and despite the four-hour flight separation from Singapore, they decided to conquer another summit—a long-distance relationship.
A few months later, Seb seized a new career opportunity in the sunny Philippines. Long distance became a short-distance relationship with a 1.5 hour flight away, equivalent to taking the train from NYC to Philadelphia. This commute became their weekly routine for the months to come, even flying through Typhoon 9s, while mapping out the next adventure in Hong Kong or the Philippines.
The Philippines, with its incredible 7,000 islands became a really special place for them. One island after another, from off-road driving scares, to island hopping and snorkeling in crystal blue waters, to discovering a new passion for dragon fruits, to silly scooter stories, all while meeting the most incredible people they couldn’t wait to see what was next!
Easter weekend April 2024, Seb decided that Batanes, the tiny islands between the Philippines and Taiwan, would become the first milestone of a long life together. An amazing sunset, a bottle of rosé, followed by a really emotional moment for them both, Andrea said yes to a lifetime together.
What’s next? For that answer, we hope you can join them in Saint-Remy-de-Provence on June 24th, 2026 to create another adventure they will remember for the rest of their lives together!
